Eastview Cross Country and Track & Field

Congrats to our state bound athletes for the 2026 spring track season. The team was lead by junior phenom Luke Bakken who finished 2nd in the 3200m with a new school record of 9:25 on Wednesday, and followed that performance on Friday with another school record in the 1600m with a time of 4:14, currently ranking him the 4th fastest miler in the state. Grayson Bates (Sr) in the high jump and Pierce Lewis (Sr) in the pole vault will be joining Bakken at the State Meet June 4th and 6th.

Freshman Spencer Anderson put in a big performance finishing 5th in the 110H and 9th in the 300m hurdles. Sophomore Owen Sampson took 3rd in the 800m and helped anchor Eastview's 4x400m relay team to a season's best performance, finishing in 4th place. Other individual scorers for Eastview were Matt McGrath (Sr), EJ Heglund (Sr), Eric-Bright Chia (Jr) who finished 5th - 7th - 8th in the 400m respectively, Caden Sherman (Sr) who finished 5th in the 3200m and 8th in the 1600m, and Dylan Gagnon (Sr) who finished 9th in the 3200m.
