The Lightning finished in 2nd place at the Eden Prairie Booster Club Meet. There were several outstanding performances to highlight. Sophomore Owen Sampson set a new personal best time in the 800m of 1:56.84, which was good for 2nd place and (as of 4/25) ranked him 16th in the state of Minnesota. Junior teammate Luke Bakken was one of two individual event winners on the day who lead the 1600m from start to finish to set a new personal best time of 4:24.56, currently (as of 4/25) ranking him 20th in the state. The other individual event winner was Caden Sherman in the 3200m, who took over the lead of the race at the 700m and never gave it up. the 4x400m relay team of Bakken, Sampson, senior EJ Heglund, and senior Matty McGrath also took first place. While McGrath and Heglund finished 2-3 in the open 400m. Senior Grayson Bates tied for 2nd in the high jump, while senior Pierce Lewis took 3rd in the pole vault.
